Starting a club at work can accelerate your career by providing opportunities to strengthen leadership skills, raise your visibility, demonstrate initiative, and expand your internal network. At the same time, you can have fun doing something you enjoy.
I’ve published a free booklet of things to consider before starting a club at your office. These tips come from my experience starting a book club for program managers and sponsoring a book club on women’s leadership. While my experience is with book clubs, the tips apply to other kinds of clubs as well.
If this booklet helped you, or if you have additional thoughts about starting a club, please leave a reply below. I’d like to hear from you!
Interested in more career tips? I offer a series of free publications, each of which is filled with practical ideas for growing your career and clear action items for planning your next steps.
